Skinny Puppy

In the song “Who’s Laughing Now?” by the great Industrial band called Skinny Puppy, they use several samples from Evil Dead 2 including “Who’s laughing now?” “I hope you rot down there!” “God forgive me for what i have unleashed!” and “We are the things that were and shall be again!”

Primus

On Primus’ album Frizzle Fry the song “The Toys Go Winding Down” 1 min. 49 secs into the song Les sings: “C.G the mexican is a friend of mine. We used to sit around the house watching EVIL DEAD. Talking about the way it used to be…”

Misfits

The Misfits have a live bootleg vinyl record called “Evil Dead IV”.

Skarmy of Darkness

On Coheed and Cambria’s first release Second Stage Turbine Blade, there is a clip from Army Of Darkness at the first of the song “Junesong Provision”

Dead by 28

A detroit based band called Dead by 28 have a song called “A Thing Called Evil” i’m pretty sure it’s about Evil Dead, and it opens with a sample from evil dead 2. It can be found on there cd “The Spawning” through B4 Records

Foo Fighters

Their video for Everlong is chock full of Evil Dead references.

Deicide

The death metal band Deicide wrote a little song entitled “Dead by Dawn…” check out the lyrics here:
